NTN Corp. Realigns U.S. Plants and Shifts E‑Commerce to SAP Cloud
NTN USA announced a strategic realignment of its North American manufacturing operations. Over the next 18‑24 months the company will keep the Macomb, Illinois plant open while ramping down the Hamilton, Alabama facility and closing several CVJ shaft plants in Indiana. The changes consolidate production, reduce in‑house heat‑treat capacity and aim to improve efficiency across automotive and industrial segments.
At the same time, NTN Corporation completed a migration of its global e‑WINGS e‑commerce system from an on‑premise SAP Commerce installation to SAP Commerce Cloud 2211. The cloud move was executed by Infosys using its Cobalt services. According to Kenji Kitazato, Head of ICT Strategy at NTN, the migration “has streamlined IT operations, improved agility and laid a strong foundation for future digital growth.” The shift is expected to boost reliability and lower costs by leveraging SAP’s managed update cycles.
