NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issues solar and BESS tenders

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued tenders for two major solar energy projects in India, involving significant capacity and integrated battery storage.

In Maharashtra, the company is seeking bids for a 600 MW project near Dhule. This includes a 300 MW solar component and a 300 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The EPC scope covers design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and operation and maintenance. Bidders are required to secure encumbrance-free land and develop a dedicated 220 kV transmission line to the existing Dhule Solar Project substation. Bids are being accepted until November 13, 2026.

In Andhra Pradesh, NTPC REL has invited bids for a 900 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project near Kurnool. The project requires the contractor to manage land acquisition, EPC services, and the installation of a BESS. The infrastructure scope includes the construction of a 400 kV terminal line bay and a dedicated transmission line to the Kurnool Solar Project pooling substation, alongside telemetry systems and reactive power compensation equipment to ensure grid stability.
