NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks form AI security alliance

NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks have entered into a multi-year strategic alliance aimed at helping organizations securely adopt artificial intelligence and modernize their cybersecurity frameworks. The agreement targets $1 billion in joint business by the end of 2029.

The partnership combines Palo Alto Networks’ AI-powered cybersecurity platforms with NTT DATA’s consulting, engineering, and managed services. This collaboration builds upon the companies’ existing Frontier AI work, integrating Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 threat intelligence with NTT DATA’s expertise in AI governance and global cybersecurity.

The alliance is supported by joint investments and over 2,000 certified experts. Initial solutions will focus on highly regulated sectors, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and the public sector. Key areas of transformation include the development of Autonomous Security Operations Centers (SOC) using Agentic AI to detect and respond to machine-speed cyber threats.
