NTT DATA launches AI-driven platform to automate insurance workflows

NTT DATA announced the launch of NTT DATA AI for Insurance, a Service‑as‑Software solution built on the AIVista platform. The offering combines configurable AI agents, insurance‑specific data models, workflow orchestration and enterprise‑grade governance to enable insurers to automate underwriting, claims and customer‑service processes while maintaining auditability, regulatory guardrails and human oversight.

The solution is designed for highly regulated insurance environments, integrates openly with existing carrier systems, and includes model‑routing capabilities to avoid lock‑in to any single foundation model. Bruno Abril, Global Lead for the Insurance Industry at NTT DATA, said the platform “strengthens the ability of insurers to meet their responsibility” by supporting human expertise with governed AI.

NTT DATA positions the product as a way for large carriers worldwide to increase productivity, improve decision quality and manage risk across core insurance operations.
