NTT Sonority launches SonoVo AI for automated reporting in noisy environments

NTT Sonority has launched ‘SonoVo AI’, an audio AI solution designed to record and structure verbal communication in noisy environments to automate business reporting. Utilizing patented acoustic technology, the platform can isolate specific voices from heavy background noise, making it suitable for demanding physical workspaces.

The system offers specialized solutions for three sectors: face-to-face customer service, construction safety, and local government services. In the construction industry, a pilot program with Tokyu Construction Corporation demonstrated that the technology significantly reduces the workload associated with manual handwriting by automatically digitizing safety briefings and work communications.

For customer service, the AI can detect intense changes in sound pressure or specific verbal keywords to alert supervisors in real time. The platform is designed to work with smartphones and dedicated hardware, such as the ‘SonoVo Stick’, to ensure reliable operation even when users are wearing heavy gloves or have their hands occupied.
