Nubank appoints Sarah Wilson as global Chief Legal Officer

Nubank has appointed Sarah Wilson as its new global Chief Legal Officer (CLO). Wilson is scheduled to begin her role on September 28, 2026, reporting directly to founder and CEO David Vélez.

Wilson joins the fintech company from Circle Internet Group, where she served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. During her tenure at Circle, she co-led the company’s June 2025 initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange and oversaw mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and venture capital activities. Her previous experience includes serving as Chief Legal Officer at Duly Health and Care and working as a corporate lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell.

CEO David Vélez stated that Wilson’s expertise in capital markets, M&A, governance, and highly regulated sectors will be vital as Nubank pursues growth in its primary markets, repositions itself around AI, and expands internationally with discipline.
