Nueva Esparta officials coordinate urgent public service improvements

Authorities in Nueva Esparta have established a permanent working group to address urgent public service needs in the island region. Governor Marisel Velásquez met with the Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, Juan Ramírez, along with ministers of electricity and water, to coordinate responses for water and power stability.

Key initiatives include the reconnection of the Turimiquire system, the activation of desalination plants, and the reinforcement of water distribution via cisterns. Regarding electricity, the Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi thermoelectric plant is expected to add 40 MW to the supply by the end of the year to optimize service.
