Nuevo Casas Grandes hosts 10th Paso del Norte Social Sciences Congress

The tenth edition of the Paso del Norte International Congress of Social Sciences is being held in Nuevo Casas Grandes, hosted by the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). Running from September 23 to 26, the event brings together students, researchers, professors, and specialists to discuss various social issues.

The program includes approximately 300 activities organized across 11 thematic axes, such as conferences, workshops, thematic panels, book presentations, and artistic exhibitions. This marks the third time the city has hosted the congress, following previous editions in 2022 and 2023.

University officials, including Rector Dr. Daniel Alberto Constandse Cortez and Campus Head Miriam Galaz Piñón, attended the inauguration. The event aims to extend social science research beyond academic spaces to engage more directly with regional social challenges.
