Nuevo Laredo and Tamaulipas implement tax incentive programs

Authorities in Nuevo Laredo and the state government of Tamaulipas have implemented fiscal stimulus programs to support family economies and encourage tax compliance. In Nuevo Laredo, the municipal government is offering a 100% discount on property tax surcharges throughout August. Additionally, citizens can defer or installment payments over five months without interest. Municipal Revenue Director Martín Reynaldo Garza García reported that more than 2,400 agreements have been signed, saving citizens approximately 60 million pesos in surcharges.

At the state level, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya has extended fiscal incentives through December 31. These measures include significant reductions in fines for alcohol-related establishments and substantial discounts on state debts related to payroll, professional fees, and lodging. The state finance secretary, Carlos Irán Ramírez González, noted that these incentives aim to allow families and productive sectors to regularize their obligations without compromising their economic stability.
