Nuevo Laredo hosts cultural celebrations and film workshops

The Faculty of Nursing at the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas in Nuevo Laredo held a ‘Tarde Mexicana 2026’ celebration to promote Mexican cultural identity and student integration. The event included a gastronomic competition where group 8.º ‘B’ won first place with Veracruz-style tamales, and group 3.º ‘C’ took second place with tacos al pastor.

Additionally, as part of the Encuentro de Cine Tamaulipeco 2026, the Government of Nuevo Laredo is hosting a free workshop titled ‘Fotografía fija para producciones audiovisuales’ from September 20 to 22. Led by cinematographer Tochiro Gallegos, the workshop aims to teach photographers and audiovisual creators how to use still photography to support narrative intent within film productions.
