Nuevo Laredo to open Science and Technology Museum

The municipality of Nuevo Laredo is nearing the completion of the Museum of Science, Technology, and Planetarium. The project, spearheaded by Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal, involves the rehabilitation of a historic elevated water tank to create a new space for education, culture, and tourism.

With an investment of approximately 225.5 million pesos, the facility aims to bring science and technology closer to children and young people. A key feature of the museum is the planetarium, located on the sixth level within the former water tank structure. The planetarium will have a capacity for about 52 people and will utilize specialized technology, such as the Digistar system, to project scientific documentaries and content.
