Nuevo León leaders push for social justice growth and budget agreement
Andrés Mijes Llovera, a morenista politician, called for equitable development in the municipality of Pesquería, Nuevo León. He urged the implementation of a metropolitan‑focused transformation plan that would translate national initiatives into tangible benefits such as formal jobs, improved mobility, water security, clean air and better housing. Llovera highlighted recent KIA investment as a sign of economic certainty and stressed the need to turn capital inflows into quality of life improvements for local families.
Senator Waldo Fernández appealed to Nuevo León’s political actors to set aside partisan differences and reach consensus on the 2027 state budget. He warned that continued conflict between the state government and the Congress threatens public services and urged dialogue to ensure the budget’s approval, emphasizing that the populace suffers when political immaturity prevails.
