Nuevo León leaders seek business support for PRIAN alliance
Political leaders in Nuevo León are calling for increased civic and business participation to build a broad electoral alliance ahead of the 2027 elections.
Former Governor Fernando Canales Clariond urged the business community to move beyond mere production and distribution of goods to engage actively in politics. He suggested that business leaders should consider seeking elected office within the PRIAN alliance to counter the influence of Morena, noting that polls suggest a growing public desire for alternative options.
Monterrey Mayor Adrián de la Garza echoed this sentiment, stating that a successful coalition between the PRI, PAN, and other sympathetic political forces is vital for the region. De la Garza indicated that while formal coalition agreements are expected by early December, he anticipates a participatory government that integrates organized civil society and the business sector to improve security, mobility, and infrastructure.
