Nuevo León seeks to institutionalize ‘Ponte Nuevo’ partnership

Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda has announced plans to institutionalize ‘Ponte Nuevo’ through an executive decree to create a permanent collaboration framework between the Nuevo León government and the private sector.

The initiative, supported by Mariana Rodríguez Cantú of AMAR a Nuevo León, previously involved 106 companies and raised over 350 million pesos. The goal is to formalize the program to attract up to 1 billion pesos annually from private enterprises. These funds, combined with public resources, are intended to finance priority projects in security, mobility, water management, air quality, and public spaces. To encourage participation, the state government intends to offer benefits to participating companies, including preferential treatment.
