Nuit du Droit to host legal awareness events across France
The 9th edition of ‘La Nuit du Droit’ (Night of Law) will take place on Monday, October 5, 2026, across various locations in France. Organized to commemorate the anniversary of the Constitution of the Fifth Republic, the event aims to demystify the legal system and its professions through interactive and immersive activities.
In Angers and Saumur, the event will feature forums dedicated to legal careers, including opportunities to meet magistrates, lawyers, and forensic science professionals. Activities in Angers will include workshops, forensic science demonstrations, and dispute resolution exercises held at the Palais de Justice.
In Chartres, the celebration will include an immersive escape game at the judicial court. Other nationwide activities typically include conferences, roundtables, film debates, historical trial reenactments, and eloquence competitions. Originally initiated in 2017 by the President of the Constitutional Council, the event has expanded to hundreds of manifestations in over 150 cities.
