Numan Kurtulmuş vows to prevent regional ethnic or sectarian division
Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş stated that Turkey will not allow the region to be divided based on ethnic or sectarian lines. Speaking in Afyonkarahisar during commemorations of the Great Offensive, Kurtulmuş emphasized that Turkey is committed to a path of unity, brotherhood, and solidarity.
Kurtulmuş noted that Turkey has faced significant economic costs due to fifty years of terrorism, estimating the impact at approximately $2.3 trillion. He criticized imperialist attempts to fragment the region through proxy organizations and terrorist groups, asserting that Turkey is working toward a “Turkey without terrorism” through a well-studied, step-by-step logistical approach.
He further remarked that Turkey aims to foster an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood in the region, suggesting that such stability is viewed with apprehension by Israel. Kurtulmuş concluded that the nation's second century will be defined by unstoppable progress, economic strength, and regional stability.
