Numana celebrates traditional Madonna Assunta festival

The traditional Festa della Madonna Assunta was held at the tourist port of Numana. Organized by the Numana section of the Lega Navale Italiana and the Municipality of Numana, the event included the customary emergence of the Madonna statue from the harbor waters.

The recovery and re-emergence of the statue were performed by the Ancona Firefighters' divers unit. Following the recovery, a Holy Mass was celebrated in the port area by Archbishop Angelo Spina of Ancona-Osimo, attended by many faithful.

The ceremony concluded with a maritime procession where the statue was carried by numerous boats, accompanied by a traditional fireworks display.
