Numana motorcyclist charged after police pursuit

A young motorcyclist was reported to the judicial authorities in Numana, Italy, following a nighttime pursuit with the Carabinieri. During a routine territorial patrol in the Riviera del Conero area, officers signaled for a motorcycle to stop, but the driver accelerated to evade them.

The pursuit continued through the narrow streets of the historic center at high speeds. The chase ended when the driver entered a roundabout in the wrong direction, at which point he stopped the vehicle. Subsequent checks revealed that the individual, a resident of a neighboring municipality with no prior criminal record, had never obtained a driver's license. He faces charges for failing to obey a police signal and driving without a license.
