Numancia coach disputes altercation following match against Navalcarnero

Numancia manager Lolo Escobar has addressed a post-match confrontation following a game against Navalcarnero. The incident involved an altercation between representatives of both clubs on the pitch.

Navalcarnero coach Miguel Zárate accused Numancia of failing to handle defeat gracefully, claiming a member of the Madrid-based club suffered a broken cheekbone. Escobar countered this by stating a member of the Navalcarnero staff entered the field aggressively, allegedly telling the Numancia side to ‘f*** themselves’ because they lost.

While Escobar stated that violence is never justified, he suggested the individual involved was provoking others and lacked respect. Regarding the match itself, Escobar noted that his team performed well for the first half-hour but struggled to secure a goal after that period.
