Number_i, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46 to feature on NHK’s Venue101

The NHK music program ‘Venue101’ will feature artists Number_i, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46 in its broadcast on October 17. The episode will focus on the importance and depth of choreography in live performances.

For Number_i, the program will reveal the results of a viewer poll regarding their favorite chorus choreography, based on over 3,000 responses. The group is scheduled to perform ‘REBON,’ a reimagined version of their hit ‘BON.’

The episode will also analyze the distinct performance styles of the Sakurazaka46 and Hinatazaka46 groups. While Sakurazaka46 is known for dramatic and stoic expressions, Hinatazaka46 is recognized for a positive ‘happy aura.’ The program will include commentary from choreographers to explore how movement defines their respective identities. Hinatazaka46 will perform ‘Icha Icha Mushi,’ while Sakurazaka46 will perform ‘Ai MUST BE,’ which incorporates elements of classical ballet.
