Number Nine launches Letter manga label and announces live-action drama

Manga IP publisher Number Nine has launched “Letter,” a new commercial manga label specifically targeting shojo and josei audiences. Launched on September 1, 2026, the label aims to provide stories centered on the concept of “the destiny next to you,” focusing on relatable emotions and everyday encounters.

The label’s initial lineup includes 14 works, such as “Igyetousan to Ningen-chan,” “Okaeri, Hatsukoi.,” and “Haruno-san no Koto nante Zenzen Suki.”

Additionally, the popular romance manga “Okaeri, Hatsukoi.,” created by Kame Mizutora, will receive a live-action drama adaptation. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on MBS TV’s “Drama Phil” slot on October 8, 2026. The drama will star Kohei Higuchi and Mei Hayashi in the lead roles, bringing the story of two high school acquaintances reuniting as adults to the screen.
