NUNS condemns threats against Serbian journalists

The Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) has condemned new threats directed at journalists from Žig Info and IN Medija. Željko Matorčević, editor of Žig Info, reportedly received threatening messages from Bojan Pitulić, the Deputy President of the Grocka Municipal Assembly. The messages included insults and accusations.

Additionally, the editorial staff of IN Medija received threatening messages, including one stating, “a hunt is starting for you.” NUNS highlighted the heightened vulnerability of journalists in local communities where they must interact daily with those threatening them. The association called for urgent action from the prosecutor's office regarding these incidents.
