Nunzia di Matera crowned champion of Italy’s La Ruota della Fortuna as show announces summer edition
Nunzia di Matera, a child neuropsychiatrist at Matera’s “Madonna delle Grazie” hospital, won the latest episode of Italy’s game show La Ruota della Fortuna, securing €20,000 in the final round and bringing her total winnings to €29,500. Her victory made her the new champion, and she will return in the next episode to defend her prize.
During the same broadcast, host Gerry Scotti announced that the programme will continue with a special summer edition starting Monday 22 June. The summer version will feature new colour schemes, lighter graphics and updated games, ensuring the show remains on the Mediaset schedule throughout the hot months.
The episode also featured other contestants, including Martina, a young nurse from Mestre, and Francesco, an electronics designer, who competed in various rounds and tackled themed questions ranging from music to literature.
