Nuoro council faces internal political tension over alleged coordinated attack

Political tensions have escalated in Nuoro following allegations of internal sabotage within the governing majority. During a recent city council meeting, Councilor Mario Manca accused members of the majority coalition of coordinating a political attack via private chat to undermine a former environmental official.

Manca alleged that an urgent inquiry presented by a minority councilor was nearly identical to messages circulating within the majority group's private communications. This suspicion of “friendly fire” has led opposition members to demand transparency regarding which majority leader may have inspired the move against their own administration led by Mayor Emiliano Fenu.
