Nuoro hosts Mastros in Nùgoro cultural event

The city of Nuoro will host the Mastros in Nùgoro event on November 14 and 15 as part of the Autunno in Barbagia circuit. The weekend is dedicated to celebrating local traditions, artisanal skills, and regional gastronomy.

Activities will take place in the historic San Pietro district, Piazza San Giovanni, and Corso Garibaldi, featuring traditional 'cortes e butecas' openings. Visitors can observe live demonstrations from various artisans, including cheese production, fresh pasta making, handmade paper, ceramics, and goldsmithing. The program also highlights the ancient art of 'su filindeu'.

Cultural offerings include free guided tours through the San Pietro district focusing on Sardinian figures such as Grazia Deledda, Francesco Ciusa, and Sebastiano Satta. Other scheduled events include a reenactment of a traditional Nuorese wedding, performances by tenores, and extended opening hours for the MAN museum and the Giorgio Asproni Archaeological Museum.
