Nuremberg attracts 200,000 visitors to Luitpoldhain concert series

Approximately 200,000 people attended the 2026 concert series in Nuremberg’s Luitpoldhain, including the Klassik Open Air and ‘Stars im Luitpoldhain’ events. The free admission concerts featured performances by the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg and the Nürnberger Symphoniker.

On July 26, the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg held a family concert for 14,000 people, followed by an evening event for 80,000 attendees. On August 8, the Nürnberger Symphoniker performed ‘Rhythm of the World’ for 85,000 people. The series concluded on August 9 with ‘Stars im Luitpoldhain,’ featuring Wolfgang Haffner and the German All Star Big Band for 20,000 visitors.

Mayor Marcus König noted the overwhelming response and the importance of these concerts to the city. Despite brief rain showers, the events proceeded peacefully and safely through the coordination of local emergency and municipal services. The next concert series is scheduled for summer 2027.
