Nuremberg hosts exhibition on Nazi Party Rally Grounds transformation

An exhibition titled ‘The former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in the 21st Century – Transformations of National Socialist Spaces’ will open at the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg on October 20, 2026. Running until November 13, 2026, the event uses selected photographs to document how the site has evolved since 1945.

The exhibition explores the complex history of the grounds, moving from post-war periods of displacement and structural modification to the repurposing of buildings for sports and leisure. It also highlights recent efforts focused on the conscious preservation of former Nazi architecture and the cultural-educational engagement with the site's history. The display is based on a book by Stefan Applis, Ingmar Reither, and Richard Rongstock.
