Nuremberg police arrest two more men in sexual and drug case at main station

Two Syrian men, aged 26 and 28, were detained by Nuremberg police after investigators linked them to the supply of controlled drugs and prescription medication to under‑age girls in the vicinity of the Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof. Prosecutors allege the men then raped the girls while they were under the influence of the substances. Their arrests raise the number of suspects held in custody to twelve.

The arrests are part of the ongoing work of the EKO Kajal investigation commission, which has been probing sexual offences against girls and young women and the distribution of drugs to minors around the main station for months. Searches of the suspects’ residences yielded prescription medicines, mobile phones, cash and other evidence. Authorities say the investigation will continue.
