The German Table Tennis Cup is hosting a grand opening event in Nuremberg on August 29 and 30, 2026, at the Kia Metropol Arena. This new format features 16 teams competing in a knockout system to secure spots in the Liebherr Cup Final 4.

The tournament includes 12 teams from the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) and four qualifiers. High-profile players such as Fan Zhendong, Dang Qiu, Hugo Calderan, and Patrick Franziska are scheduled to compete. A 20 percent discount is currently available for advance ticket sales.
