El Puerto de Santa María unveils Corpus Christi 2026 poster
The municipality of El Puerto de Santa María presented the official poster for the Corpus Christi celebration on 7 June 2026. The unveiling took place in the chapel of the Hotel Soho Boutique Duques de Medinaceli and was attended by mayor Germán Beardo, deputy mayor of festivities David Calleja, representatives of local brotherhoods and the parish priest Antonio Sebastián Sabido Salguero.
The artwork was created by Sevillian artist Nuria Barrera, who previously designed the 2025 patron saint and the 2024 Spring Fair posters. She explained that the image uses a window opening onto the sea and a sunset reflecting the Prioral Church to symbolize Christ as the “Light of the World,” with additional Eucharistic symbols such as the chalice, grapes, wheat, bread and flowers. The presentation also highlighted that preparations are underway for the traditional procession, which will start from the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Miracles after the solemn Mass at 18:00, followed by a Triduo Eucarístico from 4‑6 June in the Convent of the Franciscan Conceptionists.
