Nuria Morales wins second prize at Los Santos de Maimona Biennial

Nuria Morales González has won second prize at the VIII International Biennial of Painting 'Los Santos de Maimona, cuna de artistas.' Her winning work, 'Zarcillos,' is an oil on canvas.

The competition, held as part of the 2026 Grape Harvest Festival, featured 73 works from 50 artists across Spain and Mexico. The first prize in the general category was awarded to Yuliia Inozemtseva for her mixed media piece 'Rayos entre sarmientos.'

Other award winners include José Hernández Sastre, who received the best local artist prize for 'La sombra de la parra,' and Nieves Montaño, who won the local children's category for 'Comida y Vino.' The exhibition of selected works is available at the Casa de la Cultura until August 30.
