Nurjahan Jamani aims to win ITTF World Para Future in Finland

India’s No. 1 para table tennis player, Nurjahan Noorali Jamani, who is ranked world No. 27 and Asia No. 8 in her class, will compete at the ITTF World Para Future tournament in Lahti, Finland from August 28‑30, 2026. The event is being held at the Pajulahti Olympic Training Centre. Jamani reached the quarter‑finals at the recent tournament in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, missing the semi‑finals by two points, a performance that boosted her confidence.

She said her goal is to win the Lahti tournament and finish among the top six Asian players, a result that would secure her qualification for the 2026 Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan. Jamani’s preparation is supported by Adani Sportsline’s “Garv Hai” initiative, which provides coaching, tournament planning and other assistance. She also works as a junior officer with Adani Airport Holdings Limited.
