Nurminen Logistics and Tarros Group launch Nordic-Mediterranean corridor

Nurminen Logistics and Tarros Group have launched a new intermodal corridor connecting Nordic markets with the Mediterranean. The service provides a door-to-door solution integrating rail, road, and sea transport.

The logistics chain utilizes Nurminen’s block train service between Örebro, Sweden, and Parma, Italy. From the Parma hub, goods are transported by truck approximately 109 km to the Terminal del Golfo in La Spezia. From there, Tarros Group’s maritime network distributes cargo to North Africa, Malta, and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The service handles various shipment types, ranging from single pallets and Less than Container Load (LCL) to Full Container Load (FCL) and complete trains. The partnership covers all aspects of the transport process, including terminal handling, customs clearance, and documentation.
