Nurse discharged after stabbing attack in União dos Palmares

Nurse Adhara Santos has been discharged from the Hospital Geral do Estado (HGE) in Maceió following a three-day hospitalization. She was stabbed during a dispute with a colleague, Dayanne Santos, in União dos Palmares.

The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, involved a pocketknife and resulted in wounds to the victim's groin, abdomen, and right arm. During her treatment, Santos underwent surgery to reconstruct her radial artery.

Family members suggest the motive was related to gossip, while the suspect, Dayanne Santos, testified to police that the incident occurred in the “heat of the moment” following a social media post by the victim. The Civil Police of Alagoas are continuing to investigate the case, noting that security cameras captured portions of the altercation.
