Nurudeen Aweroro discusses Shooting Stars departure

Former Shooting Stars head coach Nurudeen Aweroro has addressed his recent departure from the Nigeria Premier Football League club. Aweroro stated that he anticipated the decision to part ways, noting that the club felt he might not meet the specific demands required for competing in the NPFL and on the continent.

Reflecting on his tenure with the Oluyole Warriors, Aweroro described facing significant internal pressures, including disagreements regarding player selection and threats of dismissal due to match results. He noted that despite bickerings and interference regarding his coaching staff and tactical choices, he remained focused on his targets.

Aweroro also touched upon his previous tenure at Ikorodu City, explaining that his exit from that club was motivated by personal concerns regarding the interference of the then technical director, Bright Ozebagbe.
