Singapore professor reduces biological age by 15 years in longevity study

Professor Dean Ho, director of the Institute for Digital Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine), has reportedly reduced his biological age by approximately 15 years through a self-conducted longevity study known as the DELTA project.

As the sole research subject, Ho implemented a rigorous lifestyle regimen over an eight-month period. This included daily 20-hour intermittent fasting sessions, occasional 48-hour fasts, and 90 minutes of morning cardiovascular and strength training. His nutrition followed a Mediterranean-style diet consisting of leafy greens, seeds, olive oil, and lean proteins, with beverages limited to water, electrolytes, black coffee, and unsweetened black tea.

Using wearable technology and artificial intelligence to monitor real-time physiological responses, researchers observed significant metabolic changes. The study, published in PLOS One, aims to move beyond static annual health check-ups to understand how a person's biological baseline shifts dynamically due to factors like sleep, stress, and diet.
