Nusa Medica launches sea ambulance service in Nusa Penida
Nusa Medica Clinic Group has officially launched the ‘Nusa Medica Sea Ambulance’ service to improve emergency medical access across the islands of Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Lembongan. The service was inaugurated at Bias Munjul Harbor by Klungkung Regent I Made Satria.
The sea ambulance is designed to overcome geographical challenges that often delay medical treatment for locals and tourists. The vessel measures 11.10 meters in length and 2.70 meters in width, powered by three Yamaha engines totaling 750 HP to ensure speed and stability during patient transfers. It is equipped with advanced medical tools, including ventilators, heart monitors, suction machines, and oxygen supplies, and is staffed by trained doctors and nurses available 24 hours a day.
In addition to serving the Klungkung islands, the service aims to reach the Gili Islands in West Nusa Tenggara. The initiative seeks to provide faster medical referrals to mainland Bali hospitals in areas such as Sanur or Padang Bai. The service is intended to integrate with the local government’s Integrated Emergency Response System (SPGDT) 119.
