Nusa Penida to implement new tourism fees and boat schedules

New regulations and logistical changes are being introduced for tourists visiting Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan in the Klungkung Regency.

Starting September 1, 2026, the Klungkung Regency Government will implement a tourism retribution fee based on Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2026. For international tourists, the fee is set at Rp25,000 for adults and Rp15,000 for children.

Simultaneously, the Klungkung Transportation Agency (Dishub) is proposing a significant change to the boat crossing schedule to better organize the fast boat and ferry systems. The proposal suggests moving the final crossing from Nusa Penida to Sanur or mainland Klungkung to 3:00 PM WITA. This would be an earlier departure than the current schedule, which allows crossings until 4:00 PM WITA to Klungkung and 5:00 PM WITA to Sanur. The rescheduling plan is currently in the preparation stage and awaits further discussion with regional government agencies and the Transportation Ministry.
