Nusa Tenggara Barat focuses 2026 budget on economic growth and Sade reconstruction

Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal has announced that the 2026 revised regional budget (APBD-P) will focus on strategic regional agendas, including economic strengthening and the reconstruction of Sade Traditional Village following a fire.

To address the damage in Sade, the provincial government, in coordination with the Central Lombok Regency, is implementing a three-step rehabilitation plan. This includes providing replacement housing for affected residents by utilizing 40 unused houses previously built by the Ministry of Tourism and constructing an additional 35 houses through non-APBD funding sources. Additionally, the plan involves building a permanent art museum in the Sade area to document the village’s history and its recovery process.

The governor also noted that the budget considerations account for regional dynamics, such as providing aid and solidarity to communities in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) affected by recent earthquakes.
