Nusco declares municipal mourning after fatal road accident

Marco Iuliano, a 46-year-old resident of Nusco, died following a road accident on the SS 7 bis 'Appia' (Ofantina Bis) in the Irpinia region. The collision occurred shortly after 4:00 AM inside the Colle Tagliabosco tunnel, where Iuliano’s vehicle struck a waste collection compactor.

In response to the tragedy, the Mayor of Nusco, Antonio Iuliano, has proclaimed municipal mourning. The local administration released a statement describing the loss as a profound blow to the community, noting that Iuliano was a well-known and beloved figure in the town. An autopsy has been ordered before funeral services can proceed.
