Nuseyrat Mayor Nabil Al-Salhi noted that while approximately 300 people died in the original attack, many remains have yet to be recovered.

In the Zeytun neighborhood, the Gaza Civil Defense successfully recovered the remains of 100 Palestinians from destroyed buildings as part of a specialized recovery project. Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmud Bassal warned that many remains across Gaza, estimated at 8,000 bodies, may only be recovered as bone fragments due to the significant time elapsed since the destruction of many residential areas.
