Nusron Wahid missed KPK summons in ATR/BPN bribery probe

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is rescheduling the examination of Minister of Agraria and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid. Nusron failed to appear for a scheduled witness testimony on October 7, 2026, citing internal ministry agendas.

KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto and spokesperson Budi Prasetyo criticized the Minister's absence, noting that summons had been sent a week in advance. They emphasized that public officials should serve as role models in supporting law enforcement and urged him to prioritize the rescheduled session to avoid creating a precedent of delaying legal processes.

The investigation stems from a September 14, 2026, sting operation in the Jabodetabek area regarding alleged bribery in the management of building rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor, West Java. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately Rp106.3 billion in cash and other evidence. Eight individuals have already been named suspects, including high-ranking officials and private sector representatives.

Additionally, investigators are looking into allegations involving illegal levies and the request for the opening of land blocks in Bogor.
