Nutanix acquires Ryax Technologies to enhance AI compute orchestration

Nutanix has announced the acquisition of Ryax Technologies, a French company specializing in AI-driven compute orchestration and management platforms. The deal aims to address enterprise challenges regarding GPU shortages and fragmented infrastructure by improving the efficiency of inference workloads.

Nutanix plans to integrate Ryax’s capabilities, specifically its advanced GPU utilization and smart scheduling features, into the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI. The technology is designed to automate infrastructure, data, hardware, and code layers, helping organizations transition AI projects from experimentation to production more cost-effectively.

By implementing Ryax’s architectural capabilities, Nutanix intends to provide intelligent resource optimization and AI-tailored scheduling. This will allow companies to maximize existing hardware, such as CPUs and GPUs, and automatically direct computational tasks to the most economical hardware resources.
