Náutico signs defender Léo Índice on free transfer

Brazilian Serie B club Náutico announced on 6 July 2026 that 30‑year‑old centre‑back Léo Índice has joined the squad on a free transfer until November 2026. The player, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, previously featured for Juventude, making 14 appearances and delivering two assists in the current season, and has a career that includes stints at Portuguesa‑RJ, Nova Iguaçu, Athletic, Ponte Preta and Israeli clubs Hapoel Ramat Gan and Hapoel Kfar Saba.

Coach Guilherme dos Anjos said Léo Índice will strengthen Náutico’s defensive line for the remainder of the season and praised his versatility and ball‑playing ability. The signing is part of Náutico’s early squad reinforcement ahead of the second half of the Serie B campaign, alongside midfielder Jean Carlos and forward Borasi.
