Nutritional vegetables for cardiovascular health in autumn

As autumn approaches, incorporating vegetables rich in fiber, potassium, and antioxidants can support cardiovascular health and blood pressure management. While no specific vegetable can “filter blood” in a medical sense, certain foods provide essential nutrients that aid in maintaining healthy blood vessels.

Three recommended options include luffa (mướp), okra (đậu bắp), and lotus root (củ sen). Luffa is noted for being high in water and fiber, making it suitable for weight management and light meals. Okra is highlighted for its high fiber and potassium content, which helps balance sodium levels in the body. For individuals managing hypertension, focusing on a diet low in salt and high in potassium, calcium, and magnesium is recommended.
