Nuvion and Mastercard expand global digital and cross-border payment capabilities
Nuvion has announced a collaboration with Visa Direct to enhance real-time global payout capabilities for businesses. By integrating Visa Direct’s network into its AI-powered platform, Nuvion aims to allow businesses to send funds more rapidly to bank accounts, cards, and digital wallets worldwide, addressing delays in international treasury operations.
In a separate development, Mastercard has completed its acquisition of BVNK. The deal, valued at approximately $1.5 billion plus up to $300 million in contingent payments, provides Mastercard with infrastructure to move value across fiat currencies and digital assets. The acquisition is intended to support stablecoin use cases in cross-border B2B payments, remittances, and settlement, as the company expands into software-initiated and machine-to-machine transactions.
