NVIDIA brings GeForce NOW support to Firefox on Windows

NVIDIA and Mozilla have announced official support for the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service on the Firefox browser for Windows. This integration follows months of collaboration to ensure the browser meets the high performance and technical standards required for cloud gaming.

Firefox becomes the fifth officially supported browser for the service, joining Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Opera. Users can now stream over 2,000 PC games directly through a browser tab without the need for hardware upgrades or local installations. The service integrates with existing libraries from Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect.

Performance varies by subscription tier. While the standard service is available to all, GeForce NOW Ultimate members can access higher-quality streaming, reaching up to 1440p resolution at 120 frames per second.

Additionally, Mozilla has released Firefox 154, which includes expanded privacy protections. This update extends Local Network Access protections to WebSocket connections, requiring user permission before websites can connect to devices on a user's local network, such as routers, printers, or IoT devices.
