Nvidia to raise AI server prices by over 15% amid rising memory costs

Nvidia is planning to increase the prices of its AI server systems by more than 15% starting in early 2027. This price hike will affect configurations utilizing flagship chips such as Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin.

The primary driver for the increase is the surging cost of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and server DRAM. As demand for AI infrastructure grows, the supply of these essential components has struggled to keep pace, significantly strengthening the bargaining power of major memory manufacturers including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron Technology.

Server manufacturers supplying major data center operators like Microsoft, Google, and Oracle have already begun notifying clients of these upcoming costs. While Nvidia maintains high profit margins, the rising cost of components is beginning to impact the broader AI ecosystem. The price increases could add significant capital expenditure burdens to the construction of large-scale AI data centers.
