NVIDIA and AMD release new GPU hardware specifications

New developments in the graphics card market highlight different hardware strategies from NVIDIA and AMD. NVIDIA's RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GDDR7, based on the Blackwell architecture, is being released in various configurations. Manufacturers like MSI and PNY are offering different cooling and size solutions, such as the MSI Gaming Trio OC with a three-fan TRI FROZR 4 system versus more compact two-fan models like the MSI Ventus 2X OC Plus.

Meanwhile, AMD has revealed specifications for a 4GB VRAM variant of the Radeon RX 9050. Unlike the standard 8GB retail version, this 4GB model is intended specifically for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). To accommodate the lower memory capacity, AMD has reduced the memory interface from 128-bit to 64-bit, cutting bandwidth from 224 GB/s to 112 GB/s. Additionally, the L3 Infinity Cache has been halved from 32 MB to 16 MB, though the core compute units and clock speeds remain identical to the 8GB version.
