Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang urges European industrial AI adoption

During the ‘Invest in Germany’ summit in Berlin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that Europe can become a central player in the AI economy by leveraging its expertise in mechatronics, electronics, and mechanical systems. Huang argued that for Europe to benefit, all end industries—including automotive, robotics, pharmaceuticals, and financial services—must successfully adopt AI.

Nvidia has committed nearly $10 billion to the European technological ecosystem. As part of this expansion, the company announced investments in four German startups: Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace. Additionally, Nvidia introduced the RTX Spark line of desktop computers designed to enable local execution of complex AI tasks.

In Germany, Chancellor Friedrich Merz called for increased data sharing among companies, particularly SMEs, to bolster national AI capabilities. The German government is also reportedly planning state funding in the hundreds of millions of euros to support industrial AI initiatives. During the summit, Huang addressed regulatory concerns, stating that while balance is necessary, there is nothing to regulate if industry progress stalls.
